  • Shah Alam, Shah Alam City Landscape (guest) wrote 12 years ago:
To a lot more beautify this city, the City Council needs to plant more trees. They should not plant more plam trees. Palm trees has low shading and low absorption of heat. The city council needs to plant a lot of Rain Tree and Angsana Tree along the streets, roads and highways since these type of trees has more shades and high absoprtion of heat. If City Council plant all these trees, it will be nice for pedestrians to walk and also beautify the city. And as for decoration plant, they should plant more Anggerik flower plants along the streets, roads and highways too since Bunga Anggerik is the official flower of Shah Alam (an identity for Shah Alam City). Hope this comment will open the eyes of the City Council. They should learn something about landscaping and planting from Singapore. Singapore is one of the greenest country in the world. In order to become a fully developed nation by 2020, we need to learn from developed nations. Singapore is just a stone throws away. Learnt from them.
